There is also a version with 3 pressure sensors if you are lucky enough to own a 3-rotor 20B engine.
The classical 1 sensor version is still available as usual - and the newer models have all the features of the old one. But since most rotary engines have 2 rotors, it makes sense to have 2 sensors that measure at the same time instead of testing one, then moving the sensor to the other rotor and repeating the test.
This is a tool made specifically for all wankel rotary engines made by Mazda.
It can measure the compression on every face of a rotor, display it in BAR/PSI/KPA, then measure the cranking speed of your starter and the atmospheric pressure.
All this information is used to compensate for RPM and altitude, and gives you an equivalent result as if your test was taken at 250RPM and at sea level; this is how Mazda says it should be done. It takes into account how weak your car battery is, how worn the starter is, ensuring you get the most accurate result.
Using this device is no harder than taking the driver side wheel off, removing 2 spark plugs and inserting a sensor in each hole while spining the engine over. The whole test takes about 10 minutes out of which 3 are for removing the wheel, 5 for the spark plugs, and 2 for the actual testing.
The cable length is adjustable - so that you can confortably sit with the tester in your hand, inside the car, while cranking over the engine. You can use this tester by yourself with no extra help. This is true for both LHD and RHD cars - 2 or 4 meters of wire is plenty enough.
Please note that you can use the 2 meter length version just as well on RHD cars - but the wire will be a bit short, and you won't see the tester while cranking the engine. That is why I offer a 4 meter long sensor wire - to keep the tester in your hand even in RHD cars.
It is of great help to a prospective buyer or seller alike - everyone wants to know what they are buying.
The tool has no limit as to how much it can be used - though it has a 9V battery inside which will need replacing sometime. You should get at least 100 tests done on a battery - which should be a lifetime's worth for most people.

After the test is done, cranking RPM and raw results(not corrected) are shown. Then corrected results(that account for RPM and altitude above sea level) are shown.

- what sensors you have plugged in, so that you plug sensor 1 into rotor 1, sensor 2 in rotor 2 and sensor 3 in rotor 3;

Bought the 2 channel one, and I do compression tests for my clients at my shop. Previously had the rctv 5.2 tester before but it broke down and I replaced it with this one. Halves the time needed for a test and works as expected. The longer wires are a blessing for us in the UK.

Unless you run it over, it's good
So I forgot where I placed the tester after testing my rx7 FC and I ran it over with my car. Sad event but I took the chance and oredered another one, the one that does both rotors. Pray I don't ruin this one too.

Can't complain. Was shipped by post, took 8 days, didn't pay anything extra at delivery. Works well and I use it at every other oil change on my 1993 RX7 FD.

awesome tool
I bought this tool and jumped straight on using it as I've seen the YT video on how to use it. It worked very well and always gave me the same readings 3 times in a row. The wire from the sensor to the tester is long enough that you can sit in the car while watching the tester on the windscreen. Glad to have it in my toolbox and use it every other oil change.

saved me from hassle
Bought a RX8 that ran poorly and had no power. Hard to start. Compression test showed miserable numbers so took the engine apart. Found rear rotor to be entirely trashed and bent. Well the test didn't lie.
